BOMBANANA!

Getting Started

Short answer

Lock in exactly 3 players, assign the three fixed roles, pick one of 7 Demo tiers, and run the loop: read module state, share it, match the manual, input, then re-read after every error.

Role split

BOMBANANA fixed role split
Role Access and channel Primary job Ground rule
Blind Monkey Operates the bomb by touch; no global view; can read braille Feels the module, reads braille, and performs cuts, presses, or switch flips. Never act on a guess; wait for the signed decision.
Mute Monkey Holds the manual; uses gestures only Finds the matching manual rule and signs the next decision. Keep signs simple, repeat them, and confirm they were seen.
Deaf Monkey Sees the global view; cannot hear voice Reads the visible module state and shares it with the crew. Report exactly what is on screen; re-report after any change.

Communication chain

Seven steps, one decision at a time. Skip a step and the manual holder works from an incomplete report.

  1. Say the module name.

  2. Say the module position.

  3. Give only the details that module needs.

  4. Let the manual holder solve and sign the answer.

  5. Repeat the answer back.

  6. Wait for confirmation.

  7. Cut, press, type, or flip once.

6-step first session

Use this order for a calm first Demo run.

  1. Gather exactly 3 players and agree on a shared set of simple signs.

  2. Assign the three fixed roles: Blind Monkey, Mute Monkey, and Deaf Monkey.

  3. Start the Steam Demo (June 2026) and choose one of the 7 difficulty tiers.

  4. Read the current module state and announce which of the 4 module types is active.

  5. Run the 7-step communication chain until one decision is agreed.

  6. Input once, then re-read the module. Errors can change LEDs, digits, or stage.
